Riverside Radio Control Club Flying Field Rules

·        You must be a current member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) to operate a flying model at this site.

·        You may fly at this field three (3) times as a guest of a member.  After that you must join the Riverside Radio Control Club to continue flying at this site.  If you are not a member and wish to fly, find a member present and ask him or her to sponsor you for the day.  The member will review with you the basic rules of flying and frequency control.

·        There are three flying zones (Zones 1, 2 and 3) as shown on the map.  Zone One (1) is used for general flying for aircraft that utilize the runway for takeoff and landing.  Zones 2 and 3 are used for small electric aircraft and helicopters that do not utilize the runway.

·        No more than three (3) aircraft will be airborne at any one time in Zone One.

·        There will be no flying over the pit, spectator or parking areas.

·        There will be no maneuvering over the runway except for takeoff, landing or missed approach.

·        Members will use their Riverside Radio Control Club frequency pins on the frequency board on the appropriate frequency number.  Non-members will post their AMA card on the frequency number being used.

·        Always check the frequency board before flying.  If you are sharing a frequency with someone, remove your pin or card immediately after flying.

·        Sequence yourself with the other fliers.  Use common courtesy and offer help to others if it looks as if they might need it.  Make yourself a friend.

·        Avoid fuel spills in the pit areas.  Use the provided overflow cans when fueling in the pit area and for fuel leaks.

·        Clean up after yourself before leaving and take your trash home.

·        Have fun and fly safe!
